Since January 1, 2013 many of Michigan’s Circuit Courts have assigned every “business or commercial dispute” to a special business docket that has come to be known as the business courts of Michigan. The Business Court Act, Michigan Public Act 333 (2012), MCL 600.8033 sets goals to improve the resolution of complex business cases and provide an important tool for ensuring a strong economic climate in Michigan.
